Unicode characters should be heavily restricted if we want this to be compatible with TeX. Currently I know there are issues with some Unicode box drawing symbols that TeX warns about not currently being mapped. There are a lot of other non-ascii characters floating around though. Going to need to clean those up before #16 can be addressed.
