Is your feature request related to a problem?

After finishing a screen recording, the OpenScreen editor always opens using its default window state. The editor does not remember the window size or position from the previous session.

For example, if I resize the editor window and move it to a comfortable position, the next recording opens the editor at its default size and position again.

This means I have to manually resize and reposition the editor every time I start a new recording session.

Describe the solution you'd like

OpenScreen should remember the last state of the editor window and restore it when the editor is opened for the next recording session.

Specifically, it would be useful to remember:

  • the window size;
  • the window position;
  • whether the window was maximized or in full-screen mode.

For example, if I resize the editor window and move it to a specific position, the next time I finish a recording and open the editor, it should open with the same size and position.

I am not suggesting that OpenScreen needs to remember every editor or interface setting. Simply remembering the last window size, position, and window state would already make the workflow much more convenient.

Describe alternatives you've considered

The current workaround is to manually resize and reposition the editor window after each recording. However, this has to be repeated for every new session.

I did not find a way to make OpenScreen remember the editor window state automatically.

Additional context

This would be especially useful on macOS, where users often work with applications in a preferred window size and position.

The goal is simply for OpenScreen to remember the editor window layout from the previous session and restore it the next time the editor is opened, instead of resetting to the default window state.
