this library doesn't work

Hello, I've been trying to decode this library for a few days. The documentation is not prepared because it is similar to the C API. With this much information, we can only create featureless barcodes. I tried many methods, the program does not give an error, but it does not output properly. For example, parameters such as hide text, height, bold text, add boxes do not work. I guess the only working parameter is the rotate feature. When I run it with the CLI, they all work. I think there is a problem with this python version. I'm using ubuntu 16.04 and python 3.5 can anyone help?

@frkn3206 Please try the latest 1.4 version of python-zint. There seem to be issues with older versions on Python 3.

However, your example code does not look correct. This should do what you want:

import zint
import sys

symbol = zint.ZBarcode_Create()
symbol.contents.symbology = zint.BARCODE_TELEPEN
symbol.contents.scale = 2.5
symbol.contents.border_width = 4
symbol.contents.output_options = zint.BARCODE_BOX
symbol.contents.show_hrt = 1
input = zint.instr(b'1321321')

if zint.ZBarcode_Encode_and_Print(symbol.contents, input, 0, 0) != 0:
    print('error: %s' % symbol.contents.errtxt)
    sys.exit(1)

zint.ZBarcode_Delete(symbol)

In case you were wanting a white border, try this code instead:

symbol.contents.whitespace_width = 4
symbol.contents.whitespace_height = 4
