Logout hangs because mount.cifs cannot be found #97

Description

@garblixa

Description

In linuxmuster-linuxclient7 1.1.4 in a KDE Plasma environment , network drives are not unmounted when a user logs out.

This causes the rest of the logout process to abort, and the network drives remain mounted.

The cause appears to be this line in shares.py:

mountCommand = [shutil.which(“mount.cifs”), “-o”, mountCommandOptions, networkPath, mountpoint]

In this case, shutil.which(“mount.cifs”) returns None.

However, mount.cifs is installed:

/usr/sbin/mount.cifs

Workaround

We changed the line to:

mountCifs = shutil.which("mount.cifs") or "/usr/sbin/mount.cifs"
mountCommand = [mountCifs, "-o", mountCommandOptions, networkPath, mountpoint]

This restores the logout functionality, and the network drives are unmounted.

Please check whether shares.py should handle the case where shutil.which(“mount.cifs”) == None.
