IDB performance extremely poor on Bitcoin Knots v29.1

Describe the bug
IDB proceeds only 1 block (close to current tip) in hour or so.

Expected behavior
Syncs many blocks a minute anc catches tip in no time at all

Hey @tehelsper, got someone else reporting this issue to me with the latest Knots (vanilla and BIP 110) but I couldn't reproduce the issue. My dev VM is able to successfully sync to the tip.
I noted no meaningful difference on the sync speed between Core and Knots, both were on clearnet only.
Any idea what could be the cause?

I have not seen the issue, but I have heard that from 2-3 people. I'm not sure what it could be since the default behavior is for the same default config to be used no matter which implementation is selected. Maybe bad peers or network problem?

After checking with the person it was a speed problem, his SSD was plugged in the USB 2.0 port.
