Hi,
I have noticed an issue when using umlauts e.g. äöü.
The changed text is inserted before the point it should be.

I think the columns are not expanded to character offsets but I don't know how this works in lua.

True. Currently we pass static encoding. I think I generally need to look into how this works.
But does it work correctly to apply the action and only the preview is wrong?

It also applies the correction incorrectly.

Okay. So that means we need to set the encoding properly according to the respective client setting. 😓
