2. Nested Sass interpolation in calc()

Vendor SCSS (Vuexy/Bootstrap-extended) flags lines like:

database/sql/world.sql — extract parse timeout (large world-cities dump). Not indexed at all.

Expected

• Ignore compiled Blade (storage/framework/views) and vendor SCSS copies unless opted in.
• Recover (or precisely diagnose) Blade @error/@if in HTML attributes, @pushonce, @vite, Alpine @entangle/@click, <livewire:…/>, {!! !!}, dotted <x-ns.comp> tags.
• Detect or skip mis-extended files (.blad.php, JSON-as-.php, bash-as-.ps1 / php.ini) without a dense per-line spray.
• Parse nested Sass #{"#{…}"} inside calc(), or mark as unsupported-syntax once.

Actual

Indexing succeeds (status: ready). 294 files record parse_partial, so graph completeness for views/SCSS is uncertain. Coverage note matches: files were indexed, constructs in flagged ranges may be missing.

Reproduction

1. Index a Laravel 11 + Blade + Livewire + Vuexy-style SCSS tree (or the snippets above in a tiny fixture repo).
2. codebase-memory-mcp cli --json index_status '{"project":"<name>"}'
3. Observe parse_partial.count on Blade, compiled views, nested SCSS calc(), and mis-extended files.

Impact

Low–medium: the coverage signal works; most hits are compiled views + vendor SCSS + Blade HTML hybrids. Filing per the tool's indexing-gap prompt. PHP application classes under app/ / Modules/*/app were not the bulk of the gap.

Thank you so much, @moradchalaby, for such a thorough and privacy-conscious report. The per-class breakdown and the sanitized snippets let us rebuild every case locally without your code. Here's where things stand:

• Compiled Blade views (storage/framework/views/): these are generated PHP with no source value, and they were being indexed and flagged as parse errors whenever Laravel's stock .gitignore in that folder was missing. The next release skips that folder by default, at any depth, whether or not the .gitignore is there. The rule matches the full storage/framework/views path, so your real resources/views (or any other views/ folder) keeps being indexed. The folder is listed as an excluded subtree in the coverage output rather than silently dropped. If you ever do want it indexed, !storage/framework/views/ in .cbmignore un-skips it. Since you already have an index, please run one full re-index (delete_project, then index) after upgrading so the old compiled-view nodes are dropped.

• Mis-named files (.blad.php, JSON in ajax.php, bash in install.ps1 / php.ini): these are flagged on purpose. cbm picks the language from the file extension and deliberately doesn't guess from content, so the coverage signal is honestly telling you the content doesn't parse as that language. Renaming the .blad.php file will get it indexed as Blade.

• world.sql skipped with a parse timeout: that comes from the per-file parse budget. We're profiling why a data dump this size takes so long, so that the fix is making the parse cheaper rather than just raising a limit.

• Grammar limits: several flags come from the upstream tree-sitter grammars, not from cbm itself:

  • Blade: lowercase @pushonce, and a two-argument @section('title', __('...')).
  • Blade: a void element such as <link ...> or <br> inside @push / @if / @section swallows the closing directive.
  • CSS: the [wire\:id] attribute selector.
  • dotenv: FORWARD_DB_PORT=33${APP_PORT}.

  We're reporting these to the grammar projects.

• @vite([...] . $x) concatenation: we couldn't reproduce this flag on current main. If it still shows up after upgrading, a small sanitized excerpt of one flagged file would be very welcome.
