@bluelovers Yes ! I reproduced the same problem.
Update OpenCode, then close your clients and restart the OpenCode background service. The free models reject the request because the old server still identifies as version 0.0.0-beta-19192, which is below the free-tier minimum version. Restarting your computer after the update is the simplest way to make sure everything starts fresh. it should normally restore access to the free models.

I'm closing this for now. Please reopen it if the problem persists.

@bluelovers thanks, I'm aware of the OpenCode free-tier version issue. The important part is to update both the installed CLI and the running background service to the current release.

Both commands you posted still install the old package, @opencode-ai/cli. I checked the npm tags:

So the second command actually installs an older beta. The current V2 package is @opencode/cli, without -ai.

On Windows, close CodeNomad and your other OpenCode clients, then run these commands one at a time in PowerShell:

opencode2 service stop
pnpm remove -g @opencode-ai/cli
pnpm add -g --allow-build=@opencode/cli @opencode/cli@latest

Open a new PowerShell window and verify the installation, then start the updated service:

Get-Command opencode, opencode2 | Select-Object Name, Source
opencode --version
opencode service start
opencode api get /api/info

Check that both the CLI and the server report the current version (2.0.10 at the time of this comment, or newer). If CodeNomad has a custom OpenCode executable path configured, make sure it points to this updated installation before reopening your project.

This should resolve the outdated-version rejection. If it still happens with both versions confirmed current, please share those outputs and the exact error so I can investigate further.

@bluelovers actually the opencode auto-update in codenomad was making the same mistake so thanks to make me realize, it's fixed in dev now
