Hi, I'm ZFordDev, 👋
Productivity developer.
I have been coding since I was 8 years old and recently decided (at 30 years old) that I would rather code than drive trucks. My work often includes Markdown in some form, and I naturally opt for writing in Markdown over a rich editor every time.

- Python
- Rust
- Go
- JavaScript / TypeScript
Rich‑Text Editor News:
I finally found a clean angle for a rich‑text editor that doesn’t feel like a Word clone.
Work has officially begun — more details soon as the concept evolves.
-
SnapDock – A minimalist Markdown editor. Long‑term, stable, and not going anywhere. (Active)
-
Crafty-Snap – An automated Snapcraft generator that builds snap packages from your project’s metadata. (Current favorite)
-
SchedPlus – A simple Python scheduler app built with multiple UIs. An R&D project where I'm finding a practical angle.
-
KeyPlus – A password manager born entirely out of frustration.
Yeah, there are a lot of active projects right now. While SnapDock is my baseline, I’m constantly experimenting to find the next big thing. This means plenty of R&D — I don't really choose the projects, they choose themselves. Some will graduate, others will get archived.
As a self‑taught developer, I want to continuously push past my blind spots. In the age of AI, establishing deep foundational knowledge is the best way to stand out. Here is my active roadmap:
-
UniSQ - Bachelor of Information Technology
- Double Majors: Software Application Development & Networking and Cyber Security
-
- JavaScript Certification
- Python Certification
- Responsive Web Design Certification (Optional)
- Front-End Development Libraries Certification (Optional)
- Back-End Development and APIs Certification
- Relational Databases Certification
- Certified Full-Stack Developer Curriculum
- Foundational C# with Microsoft Certification (Optional experiment)
The next phase will target deeper architecture patterns in Rust and Go, followed by cloud infrastructure and DevOps specializations.
I’m big on collaboration — feel free to jump into issues I’ve raised or open your own.
Indie‑to‑indie help is always free; corporations can contract me.
💼 Contract Status: now open to contracts!
📢 Communication Note:
Please don’t ask me to join new platforms.
Discord, email, and GitHub are more than enough.
I’ve changed my stance on AI:
If it’s good enough for the creator of the Linux kernel, it’s good enough for me.
AI is welcome in this ecosystem as long as the code makes sense.
If a PR touches unrelated files or introduces unexplained changes, I’ll ask questions.
Any repos with 0 AI allowed can be found at my Codeberg account.
