Reviewed exact head 337dcfe against merged main 103885b. The delta is limited to the Release Please manifest (beta.18), the matching PEP 440 project version (8.0.0b18), and the changelog including merged package-size fix #1235. The size-fix PR completed 50/50 CI checks green. Release PR CI remains the final merge gate.
