Battery status "Not charging" not displayed, 3 dots(...) instead

What is the unexpected behavior?

When charging threshold is reached and laptop still connected to power supply a "Not charging" text should be displayed as battery status. Instead there are 3 dots "...". This started happenning after recent Ubuntu updates. After unplugging the charger correct battery time left estimation is shown.

Steps to reproduce the unexpected behavior.

1. Enable battery display in Vitals
2. Select Time left
3. Plug in power supply when battery level above threshold.
