Toon Claes was mentioning internally that we could advertise more for Git Merge conference and the events surrounding it such as the CfP etc. in the relevant month's edition. Since someone has to manually capture this and make a note of it in the corresponding month's issue as a comment to make sure it is not missed.
To help with this and generally with advertising all other important announcements in the project, could we try to come up with an automation that would post the announcement e-mails and post them as a comment in the corresponding month's issue? This would give anyone who has bandwidth to take a quick look at the edition's issue close to the deadline and make an entry for the same. We could exclude the release related announcements as the release script is likely to cover the same.
Would this be an helpful improvement?
