If one merges two taxa (synonymize) it woul be great if one can select that one 
of the taxa becomes an available name in the synonymy of the species etc. 

So far as I realize only the associated specimen change their names.

Hi Thomas,

I will raise this request with Steve and get back to you. We'll do an initial 
scoping exercise, and if possible/feasible in the current time frame, progress 
it from there. There may be some follow on side effects that may impact ANIC 
(the principle client for BioLink), so we'll need to think it through carefully.
