Description

Hi mate, I'll put this as a ticket soon, but want to record it now

Enable Minsky to read a text file (ultimately, build a panel to control it)
which tells it what values to give to parameters over a set number of
years. Then we could use the variable/parameter slider power you've built
to enable someone to run a simulation just from hypotheticals, rather than
having to build an ODE model.

Can you link the data widgets to parameters? I suppose you can. This is
just an idea to make it more transparent.

BTW, off to speak on the BBC about Northern Rock in about an hour:

You can feed a parameter into the input of a data widget. If the
sliderStep is compatible with the steps in the datafile, then you can
manually sweep though the data by dragging the slider.

Yeah, what I'd rather allow is the capacity to set up values for a number
of parameters for a range of time steps. For example, to start the Lorenz
model with rho<1 so that the zero equilibrium is stable and an attractor,
then to increase it to past 1, then etc...

But let's talk about this at Xmas. It's something for the backlog.

The idea is to have an external file which can be used to modify several parameters at once over a range of model years. A Schedule in effect of parameter values at particular times, to take one step towards enabling Minsky to be used as a multi-user simulation setting in the real-world instance of it being used to test different policies being applied at once by different government agencies.
