can't interact with a mod in the app, after the version gets re-uploaded!

Describe the bug

I can no longer interact with the mod in the Modrinth app after the author re-uploaded it!

Steps to reproduce

1. Update a mod
2. wait for the author to re-upload the same mod with a bug fix
3. watch for the missing 'change version' or 'update' button

Expected behavior

The update button appears exactly as if a new version were available.

Additional context

I tried deleting the mod from the mods folder and re-downloading it from the app, but that only downloaded the second-newest version. When I tried to update to the latest version, an error occurred stating something along the lines of 'This update belongs to a different file'.
I then downgraded the mod to an older version and tried updating it again to the newest, but the same error occured.
So, I deleted it once again and downloaded the latest version from the Modrinth website, and moved it into the mods folder; however, the mod did not show up in the mod list within the Modrinth app. I launched the game anyway and the mod loaded successfully.
After closing the instance, the Modrinth app reloaded and showed the mod again.
By the way, I restarted the Modrinth app between each step but that didn't help at all
