Hey @soapsurfer , I'm sorry that nobody replied on this PR for so long. I'm reviewing old PRs and wondering if this is still something you need?

@jst-cyr I would love official Archlinux support, and might be willing to help maintain that myself if needed. I've been running off of a fork of garethr-docker from 2016 because my desktop and laptops are all running Arch, and I'm very interested in getting back on a supported module.

If a new PR is desired, I'm happy to throw a pile of Claude tokens at this and exercise the result on the two Arch machines that I regularly run.

@jantman : Thanks for the offer, that would be great! This particular PR has conflicts that need to be resolved, so taking this forward would need a little help from @soapsurfer , but a separate PR works as well.
